First Day of the Next Step of Life

.......and Mommy's heart is breaking that her baby boy is a big boy starting Kindergarten. He was so excited. He actually woke us up at 5:30 this morning because he thought he had missed school! He really wanted no part of me taking pictures of him. He said he was busy so I took pictures of him coloring his picture. He just fell into place. He sat down at his assigned seat and started coloring as Mommy walked away a little sad that her little boy was not so little anymore. It is so much easier on them than it is on the parents...especially mom.

He has embarked on one of the best journeys of his life. I cannot wait to see how much he grows, learns, and changes as the school year goes on. I know that God has big plans for my little Logan. He is such a special, wonderful little guy with a huge heart.

Sporting the new clothes and shoes
and backpack with attachable lunch box
Outside of his classroom
Mrs. Stambaugh helping him unpack all of his goodies
At his assigned seat
He didn't want to smile for this picture....."I'm busy mom." His teacher said, "Now Logan, you only have the first day of Kindergarten once in your life. Smile for your mom."

And there you have it, we officially survived the 1st day of Kindergarten and are very excited about this school year.

What a handsome fellow he is!! I bet he will come home with a girlfriend or two after his first day!! He looks so cute sporting his new backpack and clothes. I hope he has a great year filled with lots of fun memories. I know you are so sad that he is big enough to start school, even I am a little sad. I can't wait to hear how his first day went. He started it out right and listened to the teacher right away and took a picture, that is a good start.

Oh Julie, I can only imagine the bitter sweet feeling you had leaving him at school. He is adorable and I cannot believe he is in kindergarden already!! Does he have a bracelet and a necklace on? So cute!!
Hope you and he both have a great day! Brooks probably doesnt know what to think having you all to himself.
