Similarities???!!!!

I took this picture of Brooks the other night after he was ready for bed. After loading it on the computer and taking a good look at it, I realized I had a very similar picture of Logan in the same PJ's. I think that they look a lot alike in some ways but in others very different. And boy were people right when they told me while I was pregnant with Brooks, "they aren't gonna be anything alike". They are two different children but both very unique in their own way. I love them both to pieces. Where does the time go? I look at the picture of Logan and it seems like yesterday. They are growing at the speed of light and I would really like to know how to slow it down a bit.

My Special Date

Today I had a date with Logan. He was so excited. I didn't tell him where we were going. He came home from his football game, showered, and picked his own clothes out. He looked so nice and he even put cologne on and fixed his hair with gel in it. I kept telling him that I had the best looking date in the whole place. We went to the IMAX 3D showing of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. I even took him by CVS before hand to pick out some candy (yes we snuck it in). I have to add that he informed me that he would be opening all doors for me. Little did I know that he meant the car door as well. I opened my door and sat down in the drivers seat and went to shut my door and I got in big trouble because he was supposed to do that. He is learning early how to win a girl's heart!!!

We were sitting in the theatre waiting for the movie to start and I was talking with him about how excited I was to be out with him and he looked up at me and whispered, "Shhh, people will think we are going to get married because we're out on a date". Then he gave me this big grin. Thought that was too cute!!!

We had a great time and I look forward to when we can do it again. He has already informed me that he gets to pick where we go next time. My boys are growing way too fast and I enjoy every little moment with them, especially my dates.

tell me I didn't have the best looking date

Fast Forward 1 Month and 26 Days

Can you tell I'm excited about Halloween?!

This is what I really wanted Brooks to be for Halloween. Darrell's mom, better known as Nanny, made this costume many years ago and 3 out of 4 of her grandchildren has worn it. It fits him perfectly now so I'm guessing it will probably not fit on Halloween. He is growing like a little weed. Now I need to be thinking of what he can be on Halloween. Oh well, I thought that this was too cute not to share though.
