Lazy Saturday Morning

We love lazy Saturday mornings at the Poteet house. They don't come very often so they are very appreciated when they do. The boys played cars on the floor together. I guess you can call it playing. Logan doesn't quite understand that Brooks is a lot smaller than him and he gets mad when he takes his cars away. I guess I have many years of that ahead!!!

These are the few pictures of them actually playing side by side without fighting. I guess a better way to put it is that Logan was tolerating him at this point.

Brooks has finally taken off!! He is walking all over the place. Everyday he gets a little better at it. He hardly ever crawls anymore. Where did the baby Brooks go? The one that I could hold in my lap and love on? He doesn't want to be held anymore unless he is sleepy. No more down time for us.

Happy Weekend Everyone!!!

11 Months Already????

Well, here we go again. Another month has flown by and we are yet again, one month closer to June 17th. He is growing and changing by leaps and bounds. He finally has two teeth but I think that four are trying to come in at the same time on the top. He is constantly chewing on his fingers or whatever he can get in his mouth. He has taken up to 5 steps by himself but loves to cruise on the furniture and crawl as fast as lightning. He loves messing with Salem, the cat. Salem is very tolerant of him. Brooks will come away with handfuls of his hair and he just lays there. Poor cat has been through two little boys and is still alive to prove it.

Brooks is such a blessing and I am so thankful that God has chosen me to be the mommy of these two wonderful little boys. Enjoy the following pictures of the little man that I took today.

Mother's Day/Baby Dedication

Not only was I honored by my boys on this Mother's Day, but we also dedicated Brooks at church. They do baby dedications on Mother's Day and Father's Day. Pastor Steve charged us as parents to raise up our children in a Godly household and train them as we want them to go. Each child was presented with a certificate and a New Testament with their name on it. I have included some pictures from today but the coloring on them is odd due to the lighting in the church. I tried to lighten them up as best I could.

This is my Mom's Day gift. I love it! Daddy did such a good job picking this out for me. Now I just need to find the perfect place to hang it.

New Pictures of the Kiddos

This was my rocking chair when I was a little girl.

Well, Ginny has done it again. She got some beautiful pictures of my kids. This was supposed to be a 9 month photo shoot for Brooks but it ended up being a little late and Logan also snuck a few in there as well. Brooks gets really tired of picture taking pretty quickly so you never know what you are going to end up with. I think she got some really good shots.
