Round #2

OK, I really don't know what to say here. I'm confused. As many of you that read my blog regularly may remember, Logan had some kind of nightmare or
something about a month ago or so. He hit himself in the nose and mouth and looked as if he had been in a fight with something and lost. Well now we have had it happen again. He said he fell out of bed and hit his face on the nightstand. I might believe that. If he did, he must have stayed asleep because we never heard him cry out or anything (and I have become such a light sleeper since becoming a mom so I would have heard him). You guys that read this, please let me know what you think. He is the least bit affected by all of it. Has anyone ever had something like this happen with your little ones? It's all so weird to me.

As an endnote, please don't start a DCS file on us. We really don't beat our children. We love them dearly!!

Brooks & Cooper

Crystal and Cooper came over to visit Brooks and I on Thursday. We had such a nice visit and the boys played so well together. It is so funny to watch them when they are this age. They just look at each other, touch each others face, and fight over the ball, as you can see in the photos. Logan and Mallory (Cooper's sister) grew up together and now we have little ones right around the same age again. The only difference is that we are not across the street neighbors like we were when the other two were babies. I hope that Brooks and Cooper will grow up to be good buddies. Thanks for coming over. We had a great time.

New Season

Logan started his new T-ball season over the weekend. It began with a tournament and Logan's team won first place. They played 3 games on Saturday and a double header on Sunday. Talk about some worn out little boys and girls. They were exhausted, especially after Sunday's games. We were all so excited. What a wonderful way to start the season!!! I hate that I didn't take any pictures at the games but we have the whole season ahead for me to capture some good ones.

Logan is so proud of his new bobble head trophy

Now, That's Good Sleep!!!

This is how I found Brooks when I went in his room during his nap today. His best nap is in the afternoon. He settles and sleeps for a couple of hours. It is the best time of the day for me!!! I think he was pretty worn out today because we have been at the ballpark most of they day. Logan has started T-ball and had a kick off tournament this weekend. Hope everyone has had a great weekend with a little rest of their own.

Warm Weather Fun

We were able to get outside yesterday and enjoy the wonderful warm weather. Something about it being warm outside makes us want to grill out. We had some juicy, grilled hamburgers with baked beans, and then headed outside before the sun went down. The boys had a great time.

Brooks was able to enjoy his first wagon ride. He looked at everything around him and took it all in. He loves to be able to ride and look around. I know he will love it when we can turn his carseat around to face the front. While we were walking, Daddy and Logan were having some fun of their own.

Daddy was giving Logan some baseball training. It seems as if every time he is scheduled to practice baseball, it rains. Therefore, they took advantage of the opportunity to get out in the backyard and throw/hit some balls. Logan (and Daddy) love it!! I think Daddy is living vicariously through little Logan and his ball. When Brooks gets older and starts whatever sport he chooses, Daddy will be excited about that as well. We are going to be soooo busy when it comes to that!! And last but not least, Brooks was having a little fun of his own while Logan was playing ball.

This was the first time that Brooks has been on the grass. He liked the feel of it but I think he was more interested in putting it in his mouth. He also ended up with dirt under his fingernails from digging down in the grass. He was really in need of a good scrubbing before bed last night.

Both boys slept like rocks after their bout of outdoor fun. We are more than ready for the warm weather to be here for good!!

The Leprechaun Family

Happy St. Patty's Day to everyone. As you can tell, the Poteet family sported their green today. No pinching for us!!! I had to share pictures of my little leprechauns. The hat and necklace that Logan is wearing were given to him at his preschool today. He called it his "rock star" hat. He is a hoot.

Today also celebrates 9 months of life for little Brooks. I cannot believe that 9 months have flown by this quickly. It's hard to believe that in 3 short months we will be having a birthday party for his 1st birthday. I cannot wait to see how he grows and changes. I continue to thank God every day for choosing me to be his mommy.

Good Morning

My boys always wake up so happy. What a wonderful way to start your day!! Logan had to get his daily dose of "Brooks lovin" to get him going on this Monday morning.

Logan

These pictures really should have been a part of the following post but I didn't take them until tonight when I starting thinking about the fact that I take more pictures of Brooks and very few of Logan. It seems to me that I take fewer pictures of Brooks as a baby than I did Logan and even fewer pictures of Logan as he grows up. I need to be a better picture taker. They are such a wonderful way to save memories. These little guys grow way too fast, so I need to do as much as I can to remember the times.

I'm Such a Bad Blogger

I have been so bad about blogging lately. I don't really have anything to post about right now so I thought I would share these cute pictures of little Brooks. We have loved the warm weather, while it lasted. It was just a teaser. We (Brooks and I) sit outside and watch Daddy and Logan play baseball, golf, football, really whatever sport Daddy has the energy to play. Logan starts baseball on Thursday so I should have more to post then.

Random Pictures

Don't really have anything in particular to blog about this week, so I thought I would include a montage of pictures. They are both growing and changing so much. I want it all to slow down. I still cannot believe that I will be signing Logan up for kindergarten next month (sniff, sniff). My how the time flies but boy, are we having fun!!!
